Two Indians Engineers has claimed a Copyright Infringement on Apple for using their Technologies in iPhone 5, 5S and 6S. recently Apple launched their iPhone 6S in India and iPhone 6S sales in India are increasing. Now Apple must have to pay the money earned from the sale of iPhone 6S in India to Two Indians Engineers named Gurinder Sohi and Terani Vijaykumar. Both these engineers are now Apple’s biggest problem.
Apple used the technology developed by these two Indian-born engineers. Apple used their technology to improve the efficiency of their iPhone models recently. This case is brought by Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation, the University of Wisconsin’s licensing arm.
technology developed by Sohi and Vijaykumar is Table-based Data Speculation Circuit for Parallel Processing Computer which simply increase the performance of any system. This research was done in 1998 and patented by University and techies who developed that.
The University can ask for $862.4 million from the Tech Giant Apple, but Jury still declared the sum to be given to engineers. These Indian Engineers had studied from BITS Pilani, Rajasthan and later moved to US for graduate studies.
The foundation sued Apple in January 2014. The group sued Apple again last month for infringing on the patent in more recent processors; that case is pending. WARD charges against Apple for using the patent technology A7, A8 and A8X chips which are used for iPhone 5s, 6 & 6S.
